blue box behind vents

Does anyone know what that blue box behind the center vents is? I have a 90 LX and I can't get rid of this annoying beeping sound when I'm driving. It seems to be coming form the box. Its a little bigger than a box of drill bits and its right behind the center vents.

Thanks
Geoff

First of all, not to be mean, but your situation sounds funny as hell! You can't get rid of a damn beeping from within your car. Sorry, I don't get out much. Ok, well, I have a '95 GT and the blue box behind my vents is the airbag control module. I've never heard of it making any beeping though.

I believe you can get rid of that beeping from the plug down by the bottom of your seat. just unplug it... but dont quote me on that. I think i remember doing that in a car once and it solved it. but if i am wrong then i wont be mad if someone corrects me

thanks guys, if that's the airbag module then that's what's beeping. I have no airbag right now so that's probably why its beeping. I'll try unplugging it tomorrow and see what happens.

ps, I'd laugh too if it was someone else. All my buddies are laughting at me.
