Ram Air
Anybody ever thought of setting up Ram Air on a Mustang?Particularly on a 2001 and up GT. I get a lot of people thinking that the side and hood scoops are functional so why not try with the hood scoop? I don't know a whole lot about cars but I'm sure you could cut a hole in the hood under the scoop and then use a drill press to drill holes in the plastic front. As for how to adjust the intake, that's where I'd need help. Any suggestions? Ideas, parts.....
I'll need a few projects to help me through the long winter months. :) (I'm in Canada... Winnipeg to be exact) |
i don`t think it would be a good idea for the hood scoop it is to low the air coming over the hood would over shoot it and would be useless. march does make a ram air kit but ut mounts under the car good for about 15 ponies

Classic Design Conepts has a shaker set up that you can bolt onto the 99+ GT's. It is basically the same design as the Mach 1, and it may actually be exactly the same, I'm not sure. But that requires a new hood and intake.
http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...splay/460.html You may be able to fabricate an intake like they have on that. Might be able to use a cross between stock and the S/C type. |
Get a Cervini Mach 1 Hood , comes with all the hardware to make functional Ram Air, as long as you by the RA kit to go with the hood. That's what I had, I didn't like the CAI that sits under the car, should be called a CWI for Cold Water Inlet, that's how I trashed my 1st engine.
