Home electrical question..

Anyone know how many amps run to your average light switch in a house?

Same as the outlets in the wall. I don't know what those are either though. I grounded myself on a switch that I thought was turned off, but wasn't. Not a pleasant experience.

15 amps.

It depends on what fuse your running at the fuse box. The #, 10, 15, 30 whatever, thats the # or apms going to what it's hooked up to.

Thanks guys. I have to do some work on the house. I frickin hate AC currents. I trust DC current, I feel I know more about DC current. AC current scares the bejesus out of me

maybe itd be a good idea to take an electrical class while im here....then i wouldnt have to rely on professional help so much...hrmm...:)

not always! you should see some of the work i seen! dont always trust that method. buy a cheap multimeter for about $15. it could save you from getting shocked or even killed!
