My bud just got a 99 z28. He has a whisper lid, exhaust, and a bunch of suspension stuff. He sold his GT to get it, and so last night, the stang boys were giving him a hard time. He had to stand up for himself, so the group provided him a race with their 2 best cars: a supercharged 94 gt and a 99 cobra with a couple bolt ons. They line up on the highway and go from a 35mph kick. They hit it, and are all even...the blown gt starts to fall back...leaving the z28 and the cobra neck and neck...at about 100 the cobra is pulling the z slightly, and the cobra shut down with 2 lengths on the z28!! My bud was exstatic with the blown gt kill, and impressed with his ability to hang with the cobra, but shouldnt that Z have done better still? Oh well, chalk up another one for the goodguys!!

The 99 z28 was stock with either 285 or 305, don't remember which. The mods it has are typical, but the DOHC breathes real nice up top. Depending on the gearing of the two cars, it could go either way.

Glad to see it went down that way though.
