Well, Fast & Furious did it

I've been going to my college now for just over a week now. I'm majoring in auto service technology. I'm hoping to get a job at a Ford dealership and then open up my own speed shop in a couple years or so. Well, since I've been going there, it seems like every kid there calls nitrous "nauss". I think that it's one of the worst things I've ever seen. It's bad enough that they make an overstated street racing movie with a bunch of tacky imports, but now that everybody's doing this? It's bull.

And that's not the worst thing. Most of these guys drive American cars and trucks and not imports. And if they do drive'm, they haven't riced'em out yet.

I hate to see people doing this. It's a shame to think what this movie has done to young people.

Just pissed and venting some steam.

Dan.

Sorry to hear that Dan. I'm sure people will start talking about correctly when they understand more about it all. I see that happen all the time with people faking lingo they know nothing about. Spend some time at the beach here with me and you'll see what I mean.

The sad thing is is that they do know what they're talking about.

Then maybe we are just headed for a world of "Kleenex" and "Xerox" Where "Nos" mean n2o. I hope not, but think about everything else that a brand name has become generic for. Really kind of frustrating, isn't it?

I think about how many people call a skid steer loader a "Bobcat". Bobcat is a manufacturer, not a machine type.

Just think all these young punks are going to be future mechanics.

"I'm having a problem with my car."
"yes what is it"
"I seem to be lacking power"
"Ah I'll just put some noss on it and that'll fit it! Oh mister, would you like me to lower your car so you can't get in your own driveway?"
"I'll take my car elsewhere thanks....punk a**"

Well, at least some of us still know how stupid they are.

Take care,
