Is it possible to convert a '92 GT from 4 lug wheels to 5 lug wheels? There seems to be a lot more choices in wheels with the 5 lug pattern. Thanks

5 lug
there are a few different ways to do it the first is to use '88 lincoln mark VII rotors in the front and the axles and drums from the same car or the complete rearend this provides for the easiest least painfull swap but doesnt improve your braking if your interested in improving the braking quality of your '92 pick up the front suspension and brakes as well as the rear end from a '94 up gt or cobra they are 5-lug and have bigger brakes front and rear as well as allow you to have rear discs there is quite a bit to this install so if you decide to do it this way e-mail me and i can guide you through it step by step i bought a theft recovery '94 gt for $500 and used all the suspension front and rear as well as the complete rearend in my '89 coupe and let me tell you this thing stops on a dime now.

5 lug swap in 3 hours
I bought my 5 lug kit from BBK/Brothers,me and a friend of mine did it in 3 hours,it took longer to put the brakes on than swap the axles, mind you I bought everything brand new so it was a little up there, choice is your's on what to use,I am a brand new freak when it comes to parts but Lincoln and 94 up V8 stuff will work too.

I am doing the same thing and have already purchased all the parts needed to do the swap (except bolts and such). Depending on what you want to do there are a number of ways to go about it. If you want an improvement in your braking then the best way to go would be to buy junk yard Cobra parts (spindles, hubs, rotors, calipers, brackets, master cylinder, booster, etc). If you just want a cheap upgrade to use 5-lug wheels just get 5-lug Lincoln rotors for the front, and axles from a V6 Ranger for the rear. If you use Ranger axles you need 2 driver side axles.
