The Cam I bought for my 331...will it perform???

Hi, I am in the middle east and ordered (on line) a Comp Cams
.555/.565 224/232 @ .050 duration with 112 lobecenter....
my motor currently houses a .499/.510 221/225 @ .050 with 112 LC and I like the torque it makes and I was curious if this Comp Cams cam i ordered will wake the motor up more and that I will probably lose a little bit on the low end but not much....the compression is 9 to 1 because.....thanks!!!!

331
good rods
ross pistons (9 to 1 )
edelbrock rpm with 1 inch spacer
70mm throttle body
75 mm mass air
24lb injectors
AFR heads (185's)
4.10 gears
equal length headers (1 5/8)
high flow cats

Should work fine, it is just like mine just a hair smaller on the duration and lift. But very close. You see how mine is running. Just wait until I get the 4.10's and a tremec then it's on. I need to get some slicks too.

a friend of mine has the same cam in his DSS 306 topped with a heavily ported Holley systemax intake and Holley stage 3 heads infront of a T5 & 3.73s. A 70mm TB and a 75mm MAF. His car runs 13.10s @ 108 all day long on street tires. With entirely too much spinning I might add.

Personnally I think he could pull better than that if he'd get an rpm extender.

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the cam. Especially with your extra cubes.

sounds good to me

cool...sounds like that cam should work out then..thanks...I will be buying 1 more cam....I like to have a good assortment of cams because I like to see what pulls hard and what doesn't.

Why not get a custom cam for your combo?
