Any docs/athletic trainers in the house?

All my life, I have grown up hearing "pop is bad for you, blah blah blah." I know caffeine is bad for your bones and stuff, that's a given. But I thought that the carbonation, sugar, etc. was bad for you, also.

Today I was talking to a friend whose dad is a doctor. He said his dad told him that pop really isn't bad for you, or at least not near as bad as everyone thinks it is.

I have been cutting back a little bit lately on my Sunkist Orange soda because football started. We had a week of 2-a-days and we have our first game a week from tonight. I'd really like to get back up to my normal consumption though.

I was just wondering if the whole "pop is bad" thing is kind of overplayed......?????
