oil leek

i'm selling my car and found out that i have a leeking oil pan gasket and a valve cover gasket and i was just wondering how much that it would cost to take it to the mechanic.

Had a friend in the exact same situation. Cost him around $400 because you have to jack up the motor in order to install the gasket.

the oil pan and valve cover are an easy fix do the valve cover first just remove the upper intake and then you can easily get to the valve covers then before you put the intake back on jack the car up and put it on jack stands i prefer at the front of the subframes then pull the two motor mount nuts you don't have to drain the radiator or pull the hoses off or anything now put your jack under the side and jack the motor up from underneath the transmission bell housing now pull all the bolts out of the oil pan and clean off the old gasket and make sure to clean off all the oil then move the pan around as needed and put the side gaskets on first use some 3m weatherstripping to glue the cork side gaskets in place then put the two rubber end gaskets on and put a little dab of silicone on each corner where the rubber and cork gaskets meet and then bolt the pan back up drop the motor put the mount nuts back on and let the car down and reinstall the upper intake and your done this is easily accomplished in an hour if it's your first time just take your time and make sure everything is clean and goes back together right. seriously this is pretty simple it might sound complicated but i bet if you got out there and looked at it you would figure it out.
