Well you know we had to cheat and put a blower on our cars to make them fast. No one remembers that the BOSS 302 was a faster car than the z28 with a 302, or the 351C spanked the 350. Wait, our motor was bigger there (1 cube) so that doesn't count.:rolleyes:

I spank LS-1's all the time in my 01' cobra. So I imagine its all too easy for the 03' cobra even with a crappy driver.

A friend of mine has a '96 T/A. When we get out of here, he's going to rebuild the motor, hop it up a little. He wanted just to do head work, But I told him the h better do the whole motor or he's going to run into problems later down the road.

I'm not defending F-Bods here, but I'm not going to allow them to be bashed either. In the same way I'm not bashing Mustangs.

No offense to you Dark_5.0, but stock for stock an 01 Cobra (even though very close) can not beat the same year LS1. The 01 and up models did have different internals in the engine and tranny, as well as reworked exhaust, so they make more power.
Perhaps you can take out a 98-00, but with all things equal it will be neck and neck.

On the other hand , a stock 03 Cobra will kill any F-Body or LS1 (Corvette included) for that matter. No question. The ZO6 is slightly faster in the 1/4 (about .3 / 2-3mph), but is not as easily modded nor does it have the aftermarket to support it.

i wasnt bashing f- bodies, sandman , i respect & like jimi's t/a as much as my stang, he just put a ram air hood on it, and getting it painted, it was black, he's painting it orange, we go rice hunting sometimes, i really like his t/a, dont tell anyone, lol. ;) :D
