So has anyone here cut the post on their stock mass air flow sensor? Just wondering if this made any diff as I want a free mod for a while to upgrade later.

DONT DO IT! I did it and it screwed my car up. Your car will start to surge, the sampling tube in the middle of your MAF needs to be bevel cut perfectly and the ammount of work to cut and hone that bich out isnt worth the work. Even with an air wrench it still hard, I acutaly found that the best way was with a dremel using the cut of disks. But dont do it, and dont buy a Vortec/C&L either, they make you re use your old sensor and jump wires. I have a Vortec, they supply 2 different connectors for your sensor, if you put the wrong one on, you will detonate and surge horribly. Get a Pro M, they give you a whole new sensor with no bullshit.

Fastang is right, I had a buddy with a 97 Cobra do it, he read it on the net somewhere, two days later his car was surging and would even run at times, cost him $250 to fix the electronics to make it work. DON'T DO IT
