Car stall's

I have a 90gt my list of mods are below, anyways I just adjusted the timing to like 13-14 degrees above stock and now in the morning or on cold starts it starts and then just dies right away and take about a few min of me restarting it and rompin on it to warm it up is this normal cause the timing or somethings wrong also whats the perfect degree my timing should be on with the mods that I have, the trick flow intake isnt on yet.

stalling

Have you changed your fuel filter recently? Spuratic stalling can be a symptom of a clogged fuel filter.

ok did you adjust it to 13-14 degrees or 13-14 degrees over stock you should let it warm up then remove the spout connector from the connector on the distributor harness then set it to 14 degrees (10 is stock)then lock down the distributor and plug the spout connector back in if this isn't what you did you did it wrong and if you added 14 degrees over stock your probably lucky it runs at all.

It was at stock setting 10 and I did disconnect the spout connetor and adjusted it to 14 and then reconected it but the marks are really warn down and hard to see and I could be wrong as for the fuel filter I just recently installed a new pump and filter.

get a rag with a little alcohol on it and climb underneath and wipe the numbered part of the balancer off then take a paint marker and mark the balancer at 14 degrees. then you know exactly where it is set.

Thanks bro worked great just one more question what does your Gt that runs 14.4 have done and how many miles?

bigblockcoupe 09-05-2002 06:14 PM

just basic bolt ons 65mm tb, cobra mass air meter, 24# injectors, bbk shorties and h-pipe, flowmasters,190lph fuel pump and 3.55's out back i've only run it once on street tires and it didn't hook in very good we mainly drive this one around town. and current motor has about 98,000 on it.

24lb. inj.??

bigblockcoupe-
How come you are running 24lb. injectors on a relatively stock 302? Do you have cam & heads that would need the bigger injectors?

bigblockcoupe 09-06-2002 02:08 AM

i used to have a supercharger on it the 24# are fine and it runs great with them w/o the blower.
