Where can I get 3.73's for cheap?

Cheap and not crappy for my 2002 GT 5 speed? That is definatly my next swap because today I drove a 12 second stang with 3.73's and it was nuts. I need them! Basically point me in the right direction of gears, and that speedo fixing thing, and whatever else I need. Then I'll buy them, and have a mechanic friend of mine put them on for free. How many hours of labor does it usually take? Thanks a lot.

Go with 4.10's, NO DOUBT!! I have them in my 02 GT 5 speed(daily driver, highway driven) and I love them. Dont waste your money on 3.73's, they will put you BELOW your powerband. Best price for FRPP gears are from gefracing.com

Damn, I've heard that 4.10's with a 5 speed don't go well...I hear 3.73's are the best. I drive 80 miles a day on the highway and town roads. Everybody seems to think that 3.73's are the way to go. What are you rpm's like at around 80 mph with the 4.10's?

all I need and the speedo fix thing?

I think for the 99+ mustangs you have to get a speedo calibrator. An electronic thing...there's no gear on the tranny for the newer models. Get 4.10's, too. The newer intakes made the 99+ power bands much higher in the rpm range. For 98's and lower, 3.73 is good...but I would put 4.10's on.

Oh ya, don't forget the overhaul kit. Gefracing doesn't give shims w/ their ring and pinion (I got mine from them), and you're gonna need to replace the axle bearings, too (unless you're a damn good mechanic). It won't hurt rebuilding it all, and I got my kit from summit racing. It was $78, which is more than gefracing, but they didn't charge me for shipping.
