2002 Mustang Tail Light Installation
 

I've just ordered euro style tail lights for my 02 V6, and I can't find how to remove the stock tail lights. I'm assuming the only possible way is by first removing the plastic pieces the cargo net attaches to, but I couldn't figure out how to remove them either. Any help offered will be greatly appreciated. :confused:

I know on mine there is little plastice wing nut looking things. You have to loosen them and then you have to remove the plastic covering inside the trunk and they remove with four bolts. Took me about 20 mins to remove mine when I painted them.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see any wing nuts anywhere in my trunk. I started trying to remove the trunk pieces and it was stopped by the cargo net hanger. I'm fairly sure that is what I have to remove, but they wont just unscrew and I didn't want to break them. Anyone have an idea?

I do not have a cargo net in mine. Most ford stuff just clips on. I would call a ford dealer ship if no one else has any clue.

return the 300 dollar clear ricelights and buy some performance parts :D
