March ram-air system, yay or nay??pl help

It looks like it would work really good, yea you can make it at home depot or whatever i tried and it looks ghetto i'll spend 100 bucks but does anyone have this??? It not C.A.I where it just sits there its ram air from under the car, makes good sense, any pros and cons from you pro's would be great, i'd be scared someone would steal it though, it just sits there under the car ya know!! well thanks:D

Don't hold it against me, but I'm pretty sure 98SteedaGT had it and it messed his engine up. I think he sucked some water up when it was raining really hard and had to get the engine replaced. Ask him to be sure, tho

I can't say for sure it happened to him, but I know it happens with that system. Just modify your current system to pull from inside the fender, and when you go to the track pull your headlight out.

Works pretty good, is cheaper, and you don't have to worry about puddles.

Yes, I had the March Ram Air kit that mounts under the passenger side front on the nose... It should be called a Ram Water Kit, for how well it works... I sucked up a coupld gallons of water through that thing one time during a flood and destroyed my engine.... If you get it, I would be very careful with it and park the car whenever it rains....

No Offense taken on the above statements, I was being stupid that day driving to work and forgot I had that thing on my car.... Other than sucking water, and small birds.. it does a fairly decent job with air... only once you get to about 50+MPH will you even fell/see a diff in perf or MPG. Around town you won't see any diff other than air from outside the engine compartment, and there are cheapers ways to do that.

No Offense

No offense but this sounds pretty hokey to me. I'd save the hundred bucks towards a set of gears, or exhaust, or chip or something a little more worthwhile without the crazy risk turning your car into the fast water pumper in town. Maybe you could get a job with the fire department, and then it would be legal to haul a** around town. Kidding of course :)

if you really want induction you can do that...but with our shibby intakes, it's not gonna help to much

I put a 70mm FRPP TB and a Pro-M 80mm MAF, I think it made my car worse.....

They are complete junk and will suck up all the dirt and leaves off the road. Spend your hard earned $$$ on something else. Nuff said.
