How heavy is my pony?
Silly topic, but I've always wondered what she weighs, but I've never really found out for sure. The registration says 3050lbs, but that can't be. It's a '90 LX hatch w/ sunroof, alum heads, alum driveshaft, a/c delete, rear seat delete, front Corbea seats, 16" pony 5 stars, etc etc..........any ideas?

I am very close to the same as you mine is 2990 with a full tank of gas

Next time you take your pony to the track, swing by the weigh station. They will tell you ;)

Before adding my heavy steel bell, Tremec tranny (100 lbs!!) and adding a steel crank, I weighed in at 3040 w/ 1/4 tank and w/o driver. That was with a 91 LX coupe w/alum. heads, no A/C or smog equip. and the rest was full interior & stock pony wheels.
So, you should be close to that. At least it should get you in the ballpark. E |
Two million, seven hundred and forty one thousand, nine hundred and sixty three pounds. Give or take.
:) With fuel, about 3100 pounds. 3160 if it's got an automatic. Without fuel, about 110 pounds less. Take care, ~Chris |
Convertible weight...
How much does a fat convertible weigh in at?
I know there is a "significant" amount of ballast in a convertible. I guess I should just go on down to the weigh scales....I've always wondered. I have heard about 3600 lbs. |
My 91 GT Conv. weighs in at about 3350lbs. Pretty heavy if you ask me... Considering my last car only weighed about 2200lbs.
