changing lifers any tips??????

I am getting ready to change mt lifters in my car iis there any thing special i should look out? for and do i need any special tool before i dive into this job? what all do i need to remove to get to the lifers? i know i need to remove the intake and also take the rockers off and remove rods, but do i need to remove distributor or can i sneak past that? also do i have to remove the AC lines at all or can i sneak past that also???

Get those lifter removal tools from Anderson Ford. Should take a couple hours off your job. Sounds like you're pretty well prepared.

There is no lifter removal tool. Your talking about the magnets that go down the push rod holes to keep the lifters from falling in, when you do a cam swap. You need the tool to remoce the fuel lines, I would take the distributor out because it's alot easyer to get the intake out. Other then that it's easy, make sure to soak the lifters in oil over night.

I agree with 93CobraR, defintely pull the distributor. You can swing the AC out of your way and let it lean on the passenger side fender. The fuel line tools are cheap $15 or so. Make sure you keep the shims matched to the rockers when you pull them out so you can put them all back in the same way.
