How many of you guys would mod a v-6?
 

I'm wanting to know. I'm thinking about buying a v-6 stang and wanting to know who has one and if you've modded it, what kind of mods have been done to it.

Any feedback or suggestions would be helpful.

Not worth the effort IMHO. If it wasn't given to you for free,just get a V-8 to begin with. Even if it was given to you, sell it and buy a V-8.

Can't do that. I'm needing something new to drive. I was thinking of doing some small modifications to increase power. But then again, I may not modify it. I'm just thinking and running over my options at this point.

i'd mod a v6 if it were a 300zx TT.......

i'd leave a v6 mustang bone stock, except maybe a head unit/10" inch sub/small amp

actually, i do know my way around a car stereo.......

when i'm parked on I-40 every evening at 6:10 pm, a stereo offers a lot more entertainment than headwork or a gear swap.....same thing during my 23 minute, 2 mile commute from apartment to downtown office

why do you guys keep saying younger ones? i am certain that i am younger than many, but i am a college graduate, not some kid who got his license thursday

when some people on this site want to buy cars and they want a daily driver, why do they pick a V6 Stang? does it get good gas mileage? does it do well in the snow?(Dan i know you dont have to worry about that!) I would buy myself a little Nissan like a Sentra. Very good gas mileage, look nice, handle decent, low emissions, safe, affordable and they last a long time. Dont get me wrong, their isnt really anything wrong with owning a V6 Stang, but i would assume for a big car with a small motor like that, it must not get too great of gas mileage. But if you want RWD and a Stang and cant afford the V8's, then more power to ya'.(no pun intended) I just get a little confused about that and i see alot of posts here with the same situation.

Would i buy a V6 Stang? yes if i didnt care about gas mileage, but if i did, i wouldnt buy the Stang. just my opinion i guess.

Car stereos?
 

In that area, you've got me beat hands down, Ill be glad to take advice where ever I can get it on car stereos.

As to fast cars, you would be wise to listen a little bit. Maybe even on things in general.

I like young guys and welcome them into the fold, but pay a little attention and learn some.

I say get a V6 Stang, and mod it. It'll give the ricers, and Camaros a little surprise.:D

i am a college grad too, but we are still going to be 'younger ones' for awhile. not like its a big deal, still got lots to learn in life, mind you one always has lots to learn about life.

My sister's got a '98 model with a v-6. It's runs pretty good for a v-6 automatic.

The one I'm interested in is a v-6 5 spd. I think that the v-6's have potential if people would just take the time to mod one.

BS man, I've got mine, I'm young. I've been under the hood of American cars (Ford in particular) for a whole lot of years and I still learn tons around here.

my point (which has nothing to do with not wanting to learn):

i support myself, i wear a shirt & tie to my office each day, i'm also working to break into local politics.........therefore, i am not the backwards hat wearing, baggy jeans wearing, limp biskiting listening homeboy that seems to be what is discussed when discussing the "younger ones"

jeez, so what your still 'young', thats all they really mean, they just trying to push buttons to get people going. just cause your going into local politics doesn't make you instantly mature. i'm both a draftsman and a engineer (its doesn't make me any less young) and it doesn't bother me when some one calls me a 'younger one'. just be yourself and don't let others bother you.
