Suspension, not too much $$!

Hey guys,
I need help. My tires squeak almost everytime I take off. Not even when I'm trying to take off fast. I'm guessing that my suspension has got to go considering it is stock. I want to get a good setup but I don't have much money to spend.

What do you guys recommend I get. And please be gentle, I don't know much about this stuff. Again, I don't have a lot of money to spend on this but I know I have to do it right the first time. Keep in mind that I can't lower my car at all for traction because my new H-pipe hangs too low and I know it will hit too often if I do.

Thanks guys
Scott

Hey drudis,
I would love to read that post. What is the name of it? Do you remember? I'm having some trouble finding it in that forum.

Stock is 430-550 fronts and like 180-220 rear. You want a firmer ride, get 10% stiffer which is 450-580 & 200-250 like Eibach "Street" (or whatever they call them) or the HR ones...

I started with the Eibach ones, then moved to BBK 650# linears.
Now I have a Griggs tubular front end and 425# coilovers.

GET A PLAN. Figure how much and how soon you will spend the money. Then get a KIT (or package) or at least buy from the same company (dont mix/match).

I say get a set of springs (Eibach/HR) and shocks (Tokiko/Bilstein IMOHO -not- KYB).
THen get some subframes WELDED on.
Now STOP!!! (be satisfied, or it'll run you some serious cash doing tubular front ends and coilovers and wheels and tires...)

If it is dragg racing that you want... Go to a salvage yard. Get a set (4) springs from a 4cyl mustang. And get the lower control arms also. Put them in. Get a set of air bags $69.00. When you can afford it get a set of 90/10s or at least 70/30s Lakewoods. This will yeild easy 1.6 60fts with a decent tire. With slicks a tire off the ground up front :) and close to 1.5 60fts. You can also remove front end weight. Hope the best, good luck
