How to remove EGR

How can I remove the EGR or disable it so it doesn't recirculate the exhaust gas

The easiest way would be to fabricate a plate to go between the EGR valve and the spacer. Then unplug the vacuum line going to the EGR valve so that the computer doesn't think that it is opening.

The only point to doing this would be so you don't have to clean your IAB and throttle anymore. No power will be gained.

Why would there be no power gain if you are stopping hot exhaust gas returning in the clean air stream

The EGR valve is only opened during part throttle. It is closed at WOT which is when you are trying to obtain peak performance. The computer disables all emission controls and the AC when you punch it so there really isn't a need to disable them. The restriction caused by the catalytic converters is the only exception that I can think of.

The EGR will also reduce combustion chamber temps which in turn will reduce pinging.
