4 cyl swap race car
 

this is too all the people who have swapped a 4 cylinder motor for a V8:

i have an 85 ford mustang coupe that a had a 4cyl in it. i have many questions on what to change since i'm putting a v8 in it and going to run it down the track eventually.

what suspension mods do i need to make? would putting bbk springs and drag struts and shocks be a good combination?

also i'm using an automatic tranny with my 306 engine i'm putting in the car. the car still has the the stock rearend in it. will the rearend withstand the power of the 306 or will i have to change it, along with the driveshaft? i'm not really sure what rearend came in the 85 stang, that is why i'm wondering. i don't want to take it down the track and rip out the rearend.

so any help will be appreciated from anyone.

you will have to upgrade rear ends to the 8.8 because your weak old 4 cyl 7.5 will blow apart under any kind of power.
