Manifold and hood clearance

I am getting ready to purchase an aftermarket manifold for my 93GT and was wondering if there are any manifolds out there that will require an aftermarket hood for height clearance? I am looking at the Holley Systemax , Edelbrock Performer, and Trick Flow manifolds upper and lower. Also will these affect the addition of a strut tower brace in the future? Thanks guys this site is great!

the hood will clear the manifold with no spacer and up to a 1/2 inch spacer, but if you go with a 1 inch spacer you will have to get a cowl hood, been there done that :D

Yeah, And depending on what intake you get will tell you what strut tower brace you need.

i think the only intake that is questionable is the Victor jr EFI and that clears as far as the memory serves

The Victor does clear the stock hood. It's when you have an SN95 that you have to have a cowl with the Victor. I had a GT-40 on my 90 LX also without any problems, but when I added the 1" spacer to clear the tall valve covers I had to clearance my hood a bit which wasn't pretty.

As for the strut tower brace you have to buy one that clears your intake.
