why does my stang have gold emblems?
I have a bright red 1993 5.0 GT convertible and all of the emblems on it are gold. It also has black leather interior. Why are the emblems gold, and did the 93's come with black leather interior? Another question I have is, is it true that it is rare to find a convertible with a 5 speed from the factory?

not sure about your gold emblem's, could be aftermarket? i know more about older cars, never could afford a newer one. :)

How long have you had this car? I think the gold emblems are someone's idea of making it look nicer(no). Hard to find a vert with a five speed, well.... I think most folks that want a vert would want an auto but as far as it being rare, you're gonna have to check the registry. Black leather... hmmm... I seem to remember most leather interiors being gray. Actually I don't remember any black leather, off hand, until the SN95s.

93 Vert. It means your car is a pimp car or "ghettoized". funny guy, arent i?
anyways, those gold emblems are aftermarket. Ford never did put on gold ones. As for the 5 speeds being rare in the verts, i wouldnt know. i seen more sticks than i have seen autos. yes 93 did have the black leather from the factory. |
The other day i saw a beat up '93 convertible with a five speed and black interior. Don't know about them being "rare" but they're probably not as common as say a white 2.3L LX is.
