Got a chance to buy my old Nova back..should I?
After high school I had a 67 Nova SS. I later mini-tubbed it, put in a 8 point cage, etc. On the jug it would run 6.70 in the 1/8th. Now about 7 yrs after i sold it..I find out that the guy has it for sell again. Same motor in it..406 small block, 12.5:1 compression, Lunati Solid roller cam, 1050 dominator, Dart Pro 1 heads, Fuller roller, etc, 3 1/2 exhaust, 4.88 gears..except the nitrous is gone. I went and looked at the car today..and it's exceptionally well taken care of and very clean. Should i buy it back and have something fun to cruise in??

going back to the dark side eric? lol j/k, i know a guy who is looking for that model nova , in spanish- no go lol, cya. :p :p :p  :D

Memories are never as good the second time around ... that being said, if i were in your shoes and had the money... i'd probably buy it back :D
|
They're getting harder and harder to find. If the price is right, I'd do it!
Take care, ~Chris |
Dude, this is probably a once in lifetime chance. If I were you I'd go after it.
Daniel. |
dude go for it. that soundsl ike a sweet car. those nova's are the only chevy cars that i like. do it.
|
I would do it. Early Novas are sooooooo badass. I love those little cars and wish i could have one.
|
Do it... sounds like a sweet ride!!
|
Just say YES!
I'd jump at that chance to get an old car like that back, those Nova's are sweet-@ss cars!! :D
Buy it back and have some fun on da street! |
I think i'll go and talk to him about him some more today. The car is super clean and is painted white. He has added a lift-off 4 inch cowl hood which looks really good on it. Thanks guys. I can get it for around $8500
|
I would if it means a lot to you.
I have been trying to buy my first car back for awhile now. An all original 69' SS Camaro. Guy won't do it though and it sucks. He keeps saying "well, I think I might take the motor out and put it in my sons truck" and "well, I think I might tub it out". ARRRGH! |
Add another YES! to the list... :D
...I was 17 when I got the 'stang I have now (all stock), and plan on keeping it for a long time. Lots of memories wrapped up in that ride... I'm sure the Nova holds the same sentiment ;) I can't believe the guy with the '69 wants to cut up an all original Camaro or separate the motor from it.... oh well, I wouldn't. I love the 67-69 Camaro, can't say I'm to thrilled about the later years. |
if you want it and you have the means,
i see no reason why you shouldn't get it........sounds fun, i like classic chebbie muscle |
I bought the car saturday..got it for $8200 :D It's good to have my old car back. Brings back memories. I'm gonna add a sportsman pro race fogger kit to it sometime soon just for some extra kick. I put the car on the road today and drove it around some just a few minutes ago. Man this car is a BLAST!! It sounds wicked as hell. The guy moved the mufflers up under the driver and passenger seats and it echoes like crazy. That and the .640 solid roller makes some beautiful noise. :)
|
Badass. Now you have to get pics of both cars :D ;)
|
Got Pics?
Quote:
You get a chance, I wanna see some pics of this bad-boy :D |
A nice, wheels-up launch would be cool... ;)
|
Congrats man. Sounds like a fun car, and just another way to anger the neighbors. :D
|
Cool deal, but man with those specs how streetable is it?
Skyler |
It's very streetable actually. I can drive it around without no problems whatsoever. It doesn't overheat, or foul plugs. It does extremely well on the street.
