Crazy laws ......Your state/city have any?
Heres a couple to start the thread rolling.
Gotta love Tennessee Local City Code "No persons shall walk their goat past the hour of 6:00 PM." This is still active. State Law that [was] on the books. " It was unlawful to strike your wife with a stick any wider than 2 inches." |
in chattanooga, you can shoot firework's, but not a gun, in hamilton county- chatt. you can shoot a gun, but not firework's lol. :D :D :D

Heres some more Tennessee. "It's illegal to gather roadkill and consume it." WTH? "It's illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish." << I could see that being a problem. "Driving is not to be done asleep." No comment. |

In Daytona Beach the molestation of trash cans is illegal.
In Sarasota if you hit a pedestrian you are fined $78.00 and you may not catch crabs. State law: If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle. It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit. Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown. Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal. You may not fart in a public place after 6 P.M. on Thursdays. |

Memphis
"It is illegal for a woman to drive a car unless a man either running or walking in front of it waving a red flag to warn approaching motorist and pedestrians." Lenior City "When you pull up to a stop sign you must fire a gun out the window to warn horse carriages that you are coming." |
rofl
In Tennessee "you may not have more than five inoperable vehicles on a piece of property" but in Florida it's illegal to even have one. Just goes to show you why those "You might be a redneck..." jokes had to start. :D:p |

Until recently, there was a law on the books in the vehicle code out here that said it was illegal to have a radiator cap that extended more than 8 inches above the hood (written back when radiators were mounted outside of the engine compartment). If you get a chance, check out Div. 12, Article 11, in the Cal. Veh. Code. It has three laws regarding the use of Acetylene Lamps on vehicles. :D Take care, ~Chris |
memphis tn is the worst pos city in the state, chattanooga is - oh 3rd, knoxville is 2nd, followed by nashville i guess that makes the nooga 4th my bad lol. :D :D :D :D

This is a FEDERAL LAW...(punishable by death)
"It is illegal to place a large, over sized wing on the trunk of a front wheel drive import car vehicle." "It is illegal to have an exhaust tip over 3 inches in diameter unless it makes over 600hp." Ok, maybe they are not real laws, but they should be :D |
Here's some from Texas....
I believe the law is still on the books that it is illeagal for a person to have wire cutters on or around his person. That's back from the day of cutting barbed wire fences in the late 1800's. In Port Arthur, Texas, obnoxious odors may not be emitted while in an elevator. In San Antonio, Texas, It is illegal to urinate on the Alamo. That one's kinda obvious. Ozzy Osbourne pissed on the Alamo and was banned from performing in San Antonio, which he hasn't been to in 10 years. However, recently, Osbourne made an offer of appology and donated $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic fund which upkeeps and restores the Alamo. It is illegal to milk another person's cow in Texas. In Texas, it is illegal to put graffiti on someone else's cow. In Kingsville, Texas, there is a law against two pigs having sex on the city's airport property. An old law made it illegal to go to church in disguise in Texas. Most of these are still on the books. Some have likely been removed, but most just fade into the past. --nathan |

i'm not precicely sure, but check the Alabama State Constitution considering it hasn't been revised since its initial conception in 1900!! i bet theres still things in it (still on the books) that defy logic.
 ALABAMA..a thousand miles behind the rest of the U.S but ahead of Mississippi and rural arkansas in some places...:D I beleive that somewhere down here, you can still carry a black powder firearm in public, since its not a "standard gun" persay.. |
