Smells like gas...
 

Okay,
After my last top off at the gas station, I noticed that lovely smell of 93 octane. I looked under the car and fuel was seeping out through the weep/vent holes in the tank liner.
Obviously, I am going to drop the tank tomorrow morning. The only thing I have done was replace the sending unit recently.
I know the seal was good and secure.
I plan on checking the filler neck grommet/fuel pump seal and supply/return lines.
I am going to check everything, just wondering if anyone has had any "wierd" things happen under there.

My tank has leaked for a few years, it's coming from the passenger side out of the seam around the middle of the tank. I should really replace it, it's trashing out whatever pavement I stay parked at for a while. How much is a new tank???????? Anybody.

nephew with his , car sat for a year in the garage , and the little critters eat the rubber there ,same same ;)

found it!
 

There was a 1.5 inch tear in the rubber grommet on the tank for the filler neck.
At least that's part of the problem.
At least it's cheap.
