Hockey Fan....

Just curious as to what the hockey fans here are like.

You can click more than one option (you'll have to for me to get a clear idea as to the composition of hockey fans here)

Remember, I'm not saying your not a dedicated fan or love the sport any less, just curious to see how many people really understand the game and maybe have played :)

I watch Hockey on Tv every now and then. I have a few friends that play and are really into it. i have never played myself though. But Lacrosse is better than Hockey :D :D :D :D

Love Hockey, I used to be the biggest Leaf's fan. I still try to watch as many games as I can. I'm going a few of there games this season too. I know all the rules for the game pretty much, and all the hand signals pretty much too. I played Roller Hockey (same thing pretty much) for 2 years when I was younger, but every winter I go to a friends house and a bunch of us play ice hockey on his pond.

§am.

I used to be a huge Canucks fan. I was born and raised mostly in BC. The early and mid 90's rocked!

But I hate there new uniform, it sucks so bad. I also moved to Edmonton, and 8 years in Edmonton tends to make you an Oilers fan. The Oilers just play very fun-to-watch hockey.

BTW, Defenceman, also 8 years :)

I started skating when I was about 13 or 14. Toward the end of middle school and the beginning of high school, a bunch of my friends and I would play pond hockey all the time after school. We played right behind my house on my canal, which was about 250 ft long and about 100 ft wide, so there was plenty of room and plenty to shovel. The rink always shrunk as the winter went on.

Occasionally, about 10 of us would rent the local rink for hour and play there when the weather was too warm. I just signed up for an IM league at my college, but we haven't started yet.

And of course........GO RED WINGS!!!!

jj_jonathon 10-30-2002 11:37 AM

I started to skate when I was younger than that...prolly 5 or 6...but I didn't do it all the time, and I never learned how to stop, rofl...i need a long distance or a wall... :D

Nobody crushed them last year

Well, maybe some teams did, but not when it counted, lol. The Redwings will win it again, watch! Screw Hasik, screw the Av's and screw the Oilers!!! I've never played, I can't really even skate. I have the same problem as Jonathon, I can't stop. Put someone in front of me though, and I can check them pretty damn hard though. I know a few hand signals, but not all. Um.... where were the oilers last year during the Finals? Oh yeah, at home, lol. Don't take it personally, I'm just messin with ya, later, Keith

isn't it sad? lol...even worse for me since I am a canadian...we were supposed to born with skates a maple leafs jersey on...youd think 13 years of being surrounded by nothing but snow (cuz you know that canada only has one season: winter, eh?) that i should be able to stop on skates...dah well...stopping is for wusses...its only good for those people who slack off in life...now a real man will always go forward in life...hehe:D:D....oh nevermind...im a sad excuse for a canadian...but arent we all? rofl..:p :p  :D

Ha We had Cujo first, but we know that he's some old timer who is past his prime, that's why we gave up on him, that's why the Leaf's got rid of him!!! LOL :D
