NOS,SLICKS, No Third Gear :) Being the dedicated racer that I am, I went to the track last night without third gear. It will be in today or Friday. I brought the slicks and was thinking well I'll just do some hole shots and see if all the rearend work that I have done has paid off. I launched at 5000 and pulled a 1.614 60ft Shifted 2nd, skiped 3rd and went to 4th. 13.051 @ 106mph. Me and my padnas were so excited that I decided to do it with the NOS. We were all shocked! All 4000rpm lanches 2 1.602 60ft 12.416@ 111.32 3 1.601 60ft 12.541@ 111.12 4 1.587 60ft 12.222@ 111.58 Aside from the shock of running that good with no 3rd, all the welding torque boxes and new bushings, and rebuilding the trac loc definetly helped the 60ft improve. |

Your the man!!! Those are awesome times for no 3rd gear. I think you even beat me out for dedication:cool: Later, |

1 Attachment(s) 302 crew, $100.00. No, it is easy. Yes stock, but boxed. The third came in today, but we are going 4 wheeler riding this weekend, so it will be done next week. |

I love reading your posts Jason always get a chuckle out of them:) those are some good 60 footers, glad you got the rear end set up did you change the pinion angle or just leave it stock? good 1/4 too considering no third gear |

It shows u how much a good launch has to do with a quick run! Skyler |

The pinion angle is stock. I do plan on changing it. I went to the track tonight to buy fuel for the banshee for the weekend. Every one wanted me to run. I was laughing so were they, but I had to get ready for a 5:00am departure to the sand dunes. |
