oil pressure/temperature guages

hey guys(and girls). does anyone know how i can do away with the crappy oil pressure and temperature guages on my 1994 mustang and replace them with factory-looking replacements that have numbers on them and actually let me know what is happening with the motor? i like how gm's guages serve a purpose, almost makes me wish i bought a camaro or trans-am.

Are you implying that GM gauges are more accurate than ford gauges because they have numbers on them or something?

Well, I havent owned a GM product in a long time, but from my experiences, GM gauges are a lot of things, but accurate is NOT one of them.

but, at least the oil pressure guage moves when load is put on the motor. the ford sending unit only measures to the minimum pressure. any idea where i can get a stock-looking replacement? i'd like to replace the one that's in it with an aftermarket guage, so that it goes in the same place as the original guage. i don't know if there's a product that will do that.

No, theres not. Buy an autometer oil pressure gauge and a gauge pod and be done with it.

chiaronate, I'm with you on this. If a company put one out today, I'd buy it. A whole guage cluster that looks stock, but that actually works! Then they could make variations with different colors and stuff, but I like the functional without frills concept myself. No rice here, thank you.

are those clusters plug & play or do they require wiring?
