Good Music to put Subwoofer to Test

I recently put a Sub-box and AMP in my Explorer, and I am looking for some good music to put it to the test. I don't want to just boom it so my license plate rattles, I am looking for some good music that just so happens to have alot of good Sub-content (not DJ Jazzy Jeff's BaSS KillaZ!).

The best ones I have found so far are Eminem, and a few of the Kid Rock songs. I like Classic rock, Alternative, as well as some new Hard Rock if that helps...THANKS - Bob

Primus - Pork Soda cd. Excellent bass sound and not deafening.

U2 - Numb
Metaillica - 4 Horsemen

One word. Journey, lol jk. Well hmm try some Paul Oakenfeild, its techno and really works bass and hi's. Mudvayne for hardcore metal and maybe Panteras stuff will do it but I just love how they sound :D My buddy also reccomends Earshot. later!

Try some Rap (if you could stand it)

Try some DMX (and then there was X), there's some good bass on his CD's. Basically, try any rap, they're always full of bass. Later, Keith

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I'll make a run to Best Buy and pick up some new tunes. I think I have the Primus CD in my basement, it came in a paper sleeve with a funny looking Dog on it - I got it one Xmas from my roomate but don't remember playing it :)

DMX has some good stuff, my friend when he got 2 x 10inch MTX subs we tried this bass test song, well let's just say 2 minutes after they were smoking and he had blown them. They were under warrenty so he didn't mind. He ended up getting 2 x 12 PP2 subs.

As for some other good songs,
try the new Madonna Song - Die Another Day. It's from the Bond Soundtrack.
Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat <---- VERY GOOD!

What kinda of music are you looking for? I know alot of dance and hip-hop/rap that has some good baselines but I'm not sure if your more into Rock.
Try Jay-Z - Hey Papi

Let me know if you want more and of which kind.
§am.

I think it was actually a pig. Hence the nae PORK Soda. I could be wrong, I haven't looked at the case in years. Great CD though. Les Claypool (sp?) is a musical genius. For those that don't know he plays the bass and sings for them.

Sailing the Seas of Cheese is another good Primus CD that you would be likely to find some good bass as well as tunes for the rest of the system. Also check out Soulfly - Primative, and White Zombie - AstroCreep 2000. Marylin Manson - Antichrist Superstar is another good one. The list could go on for days.

Your friend had the volume too high or his gains too high(or a combnation of both). He obviously ran into some serious clipping issues......that's what blew the subs, not the track.
