Let the Transformation Begin!

Well, I took ol Diane out for the one last spin last week. I was sure to let everyone get one last earful, and eye full of what she was.

Next time they see her, she'll look almost identical. BUT...She wont be the same at all. Instead of bieng a slightly irrate Wolf in sheeps clothing..She's gonna be a rabid, hungry, wild Wolf in sheeps clothing. Its gonna look like a sheep, but have one Hell of a WIcked Growl, and Snarl. Its bite will also be everybit as bad as its bark..Maybe even worse.

Wider Tires, ALot Wider Tires and rims in the rear will be the only indication that somethings diffrent, until it is heard. I'm gonna try to get white walls still, and retain my stock Hubcaps.

I'm giving it two months. And my Diane (64 1/2 with 289) will be pumped up on steroids. With a Hydraulic Lunati 7603 cam, (569 lift, 295 duration, 104 center line, 108 seperation, Single pattern Cam). WIth some seroiusly Reworked, Ported, Cut, Shaved 65 heads (WOuld like a set of Windsor Jr's...Not enough Funds), Blue printed Balanced Crank, Weight matched Rods/Pistons (Need to find a good set of Rods quick), Main Girddle, Edlebrock Single Plane Intake, and a Holley 650 Carb (SHould be enough for only 289 cubic inches up to 6500 RPM) ReCurve my Mallory Duel point, Got a Locker for the rear, and some stuff I'm forgeting at the moment.

I'm researching Header requirements now, and trying to figure out what to run for exhaust (Looking into Two Chamber Flows that Dump and an X cross over) Anyone who's WELL KNOWLEDGED have any pointers, advice or reccommondations?

I'm so pumped up and ready to get her on the road. I'm trying to keep it so that there is no Chassis modifications other than a set of SubFrame Connectors. So if I ever want to, I could change her back to original in a given amount of time.

Oh, I'm also digging for a Ford T-10, or TopLoader. Wanna switch over to a Four Speed.

I can just hear her idling now...THump...ThumpTHUMP.....Thump......Rump..BUmp ..Thump Thump.....Bump... and feel her rocking at idle. Leads me to my last question...Anyone Who might know...Have any idea what kinda power this engine might produce?? I'm not shooting for Super HorsePower Numbers, or Torque numbers, because it wont take much at all to get a light as hell 64 1/2 hardtop moving. Especially if its geared right. My Aim though is High 12's, though I would like mid 12's. Does that sound like a realistic number once I figure out the suspension?
