Which ignition to buy?

Any thoughts on which ignition system to go with for street use. I notice a lot of folks run the MSD 6AL. I like the numbers on the Jacobs system but it is a bit pricey. What about Crane or Holley? Any help would be appreciated.

I have my FMS blue wires and an Accel cap running now just waiting for more juice. The MSD is old school but works fine if you dont mind the RPM chips. I am really curious about the Crane Hi-6 perhaps with the MSD TFI style coil. But for now I still have the original coil and TFI module. Anyone actually notice a performance improvment?? Maybe some before and after 1/4 times??

The MSD6AL would be your best bet, its fairly inexpensive, easily upgradeable and very reliable. I would have gone that route had I not got an excellent deal on my Accel 300+ system, which I will say has 5,500kms on it now without so much as a hiccup. The Jacobs won't last long, so don't go with it.

I've had my jacobs for 5 years of very hard use and it works great. They cost more because you actually get a different coil. most of the other brands basically just slap a sticker on theirs.

I have a digital 6+ and I love it; and it has no rpm chips. It has dials you can turn to adjust the rpm settings or anything else.
