My Dyno Results

I went to dyno my Cobra last weekend and was quite pleased with the results.

Nice numbers, hopefully I'll be there sometime.

dyno

Exceptional! You must have lightened the car some howYou are also real lean at the lower end... yours is an example of what I was refering to..some cobras perform better than others with the same mods.

Chico, The car was not lightened, when I ran my 12.95 it weighed 3555 with me in the car.

As for the reason why it was lean down low is because I was sitting there at a certain rpm then at that point the computer just set the A/F ratio to the lean side, then once I nailed it, it went rich. This is what my dyno man told me, not sure if thats true or not.

Nice numbers,

If you dont mind me asking what did you run stock. For some reason;) I am running 3 tenths faster than everyone else with 99-01 Cobras in my area.

I ran a 13.66 @102mph 2.15 60ft bone stock @3000ft.

My goal is to run a high 12 in my cobra with the stock gears on drag radials. I am going to order the 03' Cobra pinion brace to eliminate the wheel hop. What power mods in your opinion netted the best bang for the buck?

I have a set of long tube headers and I am saving for an X-pipe. When you did your exhaust was it a dramatic power increase?

Also I see you have 275 wide drag radials, do you have any pics of how these look on the stock rims. Thats what I want to get.

Sorry for the length its really late and I am bored:)

Here is my stock numbers (Left):

The biggest gains that I got was probably from the x pipe & the catback not sure on the numbers.

I don't have any picture of the tires but they hang over the wheel about an inch, not the best tire for drag racing.

If you still have the IRS I would be very careful of halfshaft breakage with the D/R.

Good Luck, Tim

You shift at 6000rpms:confused: .......I shift mine @7000rpms.

The half shafts break caudse of wheel hop. If I can get rid of that I should be ok.

I am about to go try shifting at 6000rpms with the G-tech. I'll let you know if it does any better.

I was shifting at 6k when the car was stock. Now I shift between 6600 to 6800. Question, how are you able to shift at 7k when fuel cut-off is at 7k:confused:

Dark_5.0 12-02-2002 12:36 AM

I shift right at the rev limiter. I tried shifting sooner and it ran slower.

Shifting at the rev limiter takes good reflexes.
