Escalade EXT Commercial

OK, I have to say it....I have seen this commercial so many times and every time it urks me. I though it would go away like many other silly commercials, but NO! Just saw it again.

Have you seen the Cadillac Escalade commercial where the two people come up on the same spot in the filled parking lot and then it shows next shot with the little car (alpa ramero? sp) in the BACK of the Cadi.. How did they get it in there. I didn't see a hydraulic lift on the back of the Escalade, are they packaging their fancy EXT with a liftgate or something.. GEEZ.......

Sad....Anywho....Thanks..Just had to get that one out..

I should've been an ad exec or TV producer....

The stuff I can think up is 10 times better than the cat vomit I see on TV....

Old Navy and The Gap commercials... could they ACTUALLY bring in sales?

ROFL

Thanks Hammer for the laugh! No Crap! Where the hell do they dig up some of this stuff? Dancing freaks in fleece...

We missed our calling Man...Hammer you could have been a millionaire!

ROFL..

The commercial is corny but I love the Escalade EXT :o

Hey man, I thought for sure you sent me a Christmas present. I couldn't figure out why you would, though. I got a small package from Odessa, Texas the other day, and for some reason, your name is what comes up whenever I hear/read that name. I thought it was probably a joke that was gonna make a mess of some kind. lol. It ended up being my new MIA bracelet.

Just thought I'd share that with you, sonny, before my Alzheimers kicks in.

:)

If I know half as much as you when I am your age I will be happy.

Wow...I thought the only time Odessa exported anything was a prisoner transfer.

I am still in shock over turning 26 in March. 22,23,24 and 25 didnt sound that bad but 26:eek:

BTW: Your up awful late for an old guy,

I was happy when I was half your age and knew it. Or something like that.

25 was a big one for me. The whole "quarter of a century old" crap my buddies kept saying really sunk in. Since then, I just try not to think about it much. Being online is when it get's difficult. That age/b-day thread at RHC blew my mind. I had no idea I was older than everyone else (except of course Marty). When these teenagers post their prom pics is when it gets brutal. You suddenly discover just how young these guys are that you were trying to help through some situation, and you realize they're just kids. That makes me feel old. When someone asks if an 8 track was better quality than a reel to reel, that hurts. When you are remembering getting faced and laid the night MTV debuted, and they tell you they hadn't even been born yet, that sucks. I have no pity for you. Think how you feel when a 17 year old tells you how they are soooo old. Get the picture? lol.

BTW, life doesn't even begin until you are in your 30's. Keep that in mind. Build up a bank account and job seniority now, and you will rule the world in 5 years.

Trust me on that one.

Take care,
~Chris

Good advice!

Hey Dark,

Yeah...Build up the cash and make sure no one then steals your wallet/purse and life. LOL. Screw that spend the cash Boss! I just had about $45,000 taken from me. Will take a **$&*^ fleet of attornys to get. Sad thing is the BANK is the one who is holding my money hostage. I will probably get 1/2 if I'm lucky......Should have bought something....Damn!

As for the Escalade, I consider it a weak trumped up plactic truck (IMO) what they where trying to do engineering wise is a nice thing, but....When pulling a load, it's all in how you get the enging to deliever the power to the road and when.

"Escalade EXT's high-output 345-horsepower V8 engine features a short-stroke crank and strong 10:1 compression inside lightweight aluminum cylinder heads. Escalade EXT's engine delivers 345 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 380 ft-lbs torque at 4,000 rpm. - Marketing from Cadillac". About $55,000.00

New HD F-150 more my type of truck...

"Supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter TritonTM SOHC V-8 engine rated at 340 hp @ 4500 rpm, 425 lbs.-ft. torque @ 3250 rpm. Marketing from Ford" About $38,000.00

And although I said I'd NEVER own a Mopar again..Ya know, the new Dodge Ram with a 345 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI MagnumŽ V8 would be nice, as long as it never broke down..LOL, Yeah right!

Save your money a few more years and buy one of these

http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content...._code=01175671

Average build time per car is three months. The mid-mounted engine is a thoroughly altered supercharged 4.6-liter version with intercooler of the Ford SVT Cobra 90-degree V8, and cranks out 655 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 553 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm with a 7500-rpm redline. Eighteen-inch magnesium wheels help bring the CC S8 down to a fighting weight of 2580 pounds.

Ahh, now THAT is engineering. I especially like the Kevlar wrappered exterior. Fargin' bullet proof too! ROFL..

Chris, it all depends on how you lived you life. Just because you are 35?, doesnt mean anyone in thier middle 20's cant feel old. right?

You're absolutely right. In fact, everyone at every age is as old as they've ever been, so I suppose a 3 year old kid feels pretty old, too.

:)

Take care,

Geez Jill,

At this rate you will need your own forum with the cars and bikes and trucks. Jet Ski...Watercraft. LOL.... I forgot you said you got one to pull the bike. It's just funny to see the ever growing list of cars. Boo Whoo.... Jill's got a really good job....

(Right On!)

Really, the Escalade. Ok, can we drop you to an Avalance, Black with EVERY OPTION and you would still have enough money for somethin' purty! Like a new set of blue-n-blue leathers for the bike, with matching Aria helmet.

?Jenn LOL
