I have been told that there are different computers for convertibles and hardtops. Does anyone know which is best to use for performance? I have a 347 stroker with a 5speed and I currently have the Cobra computer and I want to replace it.

That could very well be. There are different computers for cars with and w/o A/C and P/S too. A lot of people go with A9L EECs for some reason. There's not a whole lot of difference between mass air EECs but you should always try and match one with what your car has (i.e. 5spd, air, ps, etc.).

I still haven't found out why the CPU's are different. I know I have a code A3M in my 93GT, but in 93 the HP#'s were the lowest ever for a 5.0.
