A few months ago I got 3.73 gears and I thought I would be able to start is second for everday driving, but second is still to steep. If I try to start out in second the car boggs badly.Anybody start out in second and what tips do you have? This for daily drivin, not drag racing.

you could try 4.30's. you can start in second then! Tires blazing if you want to.

For a daily driver you probaly should not have went with 3:73's. Just start out in first, because you'll fry your clutch if you try starting in second with 3:73's too much.

3.73's are fine for a daily driver. take off in first and save the clutch..

I used to start out in second but it take too much sliiping to get moving,it is much easier to start in first. Come off the clutch a bit too quick and get some tire chirp at times. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

Why would you want to start out in second gear? Am I missing something? Its not like you're going to save any gas.
