Head/Intake Swap Delayed!

Well I attempted to order all the stuff to do my heads/intake swap today. I call summit and tell them the part number for the comp polymers covers I want. He tells me that the covers were "no good" so they stopped ordering them. I said wtf do you mean I know 3 people with them and they had no probs. I call comp cams and they told me the mold was so worn out from making so many, that the holes for the studs were not lining up properly, so they had to make a new mold. They wont have the "new" covers on the market until after the first. SOB. Hopefully I can get them the first week of Jan. so I have time to do it before school starts up again.

Why must everything be so damn difficult?

No, no, no, no, that's nothing more than a minor inconvenience. Actually, it's not bad at all. Difficult is when the part is on back order, and won't be available to you until March, because of the demand ahead of you, and that's with connections. Damn difficult is finding out the special pistons you have installed in 7 of your cylinders are no longer being produced, and there are no plans to start them up again, and the piston in box number 8 was the wrong one.

That's damn difficult.

I feel for you, though!

:D

Take care,
~Chris
