does anyone have 351w heads on a 302 block need advice
met this guy today who had a pair of 351w heads on his 302 foxbody is this ok to do ?
|
yes it can be done. try sending rev a pm,. He used to run those heads and can tell you what you'll need or he might see this and answer here
|
I think all you need are different bolts. The manifold gaskets are said to be different, but the 5.0 gaskets work just fine (from what I understand).
Find Rev. |
thanks for the info

the difference is in the head bolts. the 351 has the bigger, 1/2 inch bolts. I think they make some type of spacers to use the smaller 302 bolts.
|
ARP makes a stepped head bolt that will eliminate the need for 'spacers' ...should you decide to go with standard 7/16" bolts/studs, I have a set of spacers that were used on my Edel. RPM 6025 heads with the stock block. I now have an R302 block (1/2" stud bosses) and no longer need them. PM me if you need them... If you want a picture of them holler, and I'll post one.
