Ford Racing 17x8 Cobra R's...
Will 17 x 8's ensure no rubbing?
Can I go to 17 x 9's in the rear with no rubbing? Any advice and recommendations for sellers would be appreciated. I would really rather just stick with FMS products too. Thanks in advance. |
I have a set of Cobra R's 17x9... I have plenty of room in the rear and just a slight rub in the front only when I turn the wheel to the extreams. I had to roll the fender lip in the front a little bit only because at the time, it was lowered. My tire size is 245-45-17 on all four. I can go a lot bigger in the rear but then I can't rotate them. 245 is the biggest I can stuff in the front without haveing problems.

This is the first time...That I wanted tires to hurry and WEAR out!
I put a set of Cobra 'R' 17 x 9 with 275/40 dunlops on my '89 LX:cool:
The car looks and handles GREAT, however the front rims and tires will rub when turning hard left. I have the Ford motorsport lowering springs also, but I imagine the front would still have tire rubbing issues even with the stock springs. Every thing is cool except forHARD turns:) |
