drop mounts for a 351W

Well for better or worse I just bought a 351W to put in my 93. Heard that I will need a cowl hood. Also heard that you can get motor mounts that will drop the engine 3/4 of an inch so you don't need the hood. Anyone seen this done? I would think there would be other driveline issues. Any info appreciated.

I don't have the specifics with me in front of the computer but you can just drill the motor mount pads on the K member about an inch lower while the motor is out you can go roughly one inch down and two inches back before you have firewall/oil pan clkearence issues.

I believe HP Motorsport also has drop mounts available for 351W conversions .

FYI, pictures of an HPMotorsport 3/4" drop solid motormounts on my 302 with Griggs tubular front end:

I've heard that a 351W can only be moved back 1/2" before firewall clearance is a problem. That may be at stock height though.
