ugh, a waste of a Sunday...
 

Well I must say I REALLY gave it a chance....

I sat down for about 8 hours yesterday to complete my screening of Steven Spielberg's "Taken" on Sci-fi.

To put it bluntly, I should have just let go of the show when I first stopped watching it after episode three.

There were just so many things you could have done with the plot, and eventually Spielberg went nowhere....

I would suffer each 2 hour installment thinking it would HAVE to get cool at some point, so I would suffer the next episode as it came on. What a waste...

I mean come on:
Spaceships, abductions, secret government organizations, the military.... I mean think of the things you could do with those elements.... and what did we end up getting?

A whiny superkid and an alien who's "really sorry" about all the trouble they've caused.... all wrapped up in a happy ending as the kid beams up with her little buddies.

Spielberg should have left this over-long groaner on the floor.

While flipping through the channels, I came across it and realized that I was jumping in mid-stream of an epic length movie and decided to keep surfing. Sounds like I made the right choice.
