Dyno Damage

Anyone who has had their car on a Dyno can remember signing the release of liability form before having it done. But what exactly is it about a Dyno that is so dangerous? What are the side effects to your vehicle after a Dyno run? And lastly, why is it so damn expensive (100$/hr)?

They're looking to cover all the bases. Say the dyno roller locks up while your car is under full load, that's your risk. If the car falls off, still yours.

Fact is, stuff breaks. Just because you're on the dyno when it does, doesn't make it their fault. With this litigous society, I wouldn't be surprised if part of the release has to do with you dying while they're messing with the car.
