intake manifold cracked on my 97 GT-help!
 

My plastic intake cracked this afternoon and I'd rather not put another plastic one on. The only performance intake manifold I can find is by Ford Motorsport. Will it work without changing the heads and computer and does anyone know of another aftermarket intake manifold for the 4.6?

DO NOT BUY AN INTAKE!

Ford issued a recall on those. Get it towed to the dealer, hand them the bill, and ask for a loaner. You should drive away at no charge. They will fix it and warantee the new work.

Sounds like a time to upgrade to a ROOTS BLOWER!!

The dealership is honoring the recall. The fix is valid seven years from the original warranty date of the car. FYI for everyone else- if you paid to have the intake replaced take your receipt to the dealership and get your money back. Saves you $1000!!!
