Just a quickie

Man its good to be in California.

I was out doing some Christmas shopping and saw a white 87 Regal (Did they make white GNs?) with the Turbo motor, a Typhoon, and a handful of GT's.

Pulled up to a light next to a Toyota Solara (the two door Camry sized thing) with ground effects, centerlug rims and a little foldgers can. Looked over to see who's driving, and a middle aged guy gives me the look. I check his a pillar and see two guages, one with an LED readout. I figure, what the heck, I'll see what he does.

The light drops and I get in it about 3/4 throttle and I hear him picking up. I bury it and get out about a half car on him, hit second and we have to slow down for a red light.

I'm pretty sure he had a little turbo on it. The front end was bouncing pretty good, like he couldnt' hook. He pulled back up next to me and was pacing me, but there wasn't enough road to run again. This made him mad, and he flipped a U at the next chance, ripping back off twoards the K-mart.

Guess I interrupted his shopping.:D

Yes, Buick made GN's in different colors, but they were called T-Types. The Grand National only came in Black.

What ever happened between you and that '80's Toyota Supra at the dragstrip?

Well, then a t-type it was. Man those things are cool.

Haven't heard from Inferno in a while. We never did run, I'm guessing he made it out to Texas.

I think the Type-T's only came in grey and black but I could be mistaken.

I have seen a lot of repainted GN's though. I have a friend that has three different ones. One is white, one is black (stock) and the other is mystic with shaved handles and locks and is a show car only (he's IASCA if you are interested).

Actully, most Regal T-types were white

heh, must be a regional thing then. I never saw a white one back in North Carolina. I only saw the black and the grey with black two tone ones.

/shrug

I haven't seen a single T-Type or GN since I have been in San Fran though.
