Front Fender Rub, help!
I just lowerd my car 1.5" with BBK springs.. I have a 225 series tire, but when i try and take a corner fast, or U-turn, my tires rub the top fender edge! I even have both insolators on the springs. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do... thanks
1. Should I put a pipe on the strut shaft so it limits the movement? 2. Should I put in 0.5" steel plates on top of the springs? I was like WTF! this is sopposed to make my car handle better, how is it sopposed to handle with fender rub. |
are you sure its rubbing on the fender and not the a arms. also is it rubbing on the actual fender or is it rubbing on the plastic inner fender? my 89 is lowered 2 inches w/245 55 16's and the only rubbing i have is on the a arm:confused:

looked
Damn Im not sure now, I just went out with the flashlight and looked it over. I couldnt find any indication on the outer fenders of rubbing... But yesterday when I was driving in a strait line there was a dip and it made rubbing noise. I did notice that there was some tiny wear on my lower control arms on the backside right next to where the jackstand spots are....Where if i turn real sharp. ?!?! I'm gonna drive it tomarrow and force it!
