Stock replacement Fuel Pump w/347

I have had this problem for awhile and I cant get rid of it. Whenever I drive my car a descent amount..say 15 miles..then turn it off and go into a store and come back out it acts like its flooded...And sometimes wont even fire..but after about 3 minutes it will fire and act like its flooded. I have turned the fuel pressure down to see if i was flooding it but then it wouldnt rev past like 5300rpms and act likes its starving..I was thinking to myself and remember I never got around to putting a new fuel pump in. I wonder if this stock replacement that I put in about 5 months ago is causing this? any ideas
thanks
