Static Fuel Pressure

Where should the static fuel pressure be set when replacing the stock regulator on a 95 GT? The car is bone stock.

38-40 psi is with the vacuum hose disconnected.

It should read around 30 with it connected.

WOW! I didn't think it should be that low. But, ok. With the stock regulator mine was reading 40PSI with the hose connected and above 45PSI static (disconnected.) That was way off!

Your car was running way rich. You want your fuel mixture as lean as possible.
