Why 3:55 gears for blower cars?
I had 3:55 gears on the car(NA) and I could do the whole quarter in three gears, so I put 4:10's in and I went through the traps near redline in fouth gear. Now that the blower is on i'm putting the 3:55's back in next weeek w/5 lug conv. and c. cobra r's. Then i'll get the car dyno'd and take it to the track. It seems the majority of blower cars run 3:55's. I guess the more power the less shifting is better, less wheel spin, less shift time for extra gear, less chance tranny breakage? Will I be near redline in third gear at the traps again with blower? Right now it sucks driving the streets with 4:10's, tires spinning, costantly shifting. Third gear is pretty cool, but I can't wait for the 3:55's, I think 1st and 2nd will be cool then too.

the 355 will be good because u will running a high trap mph i run 114 mph with 355 in 1/4i do not max out 4 but a friend runs 355 and runs 127 mph and he is max out 4th so as long as your trap speed is between 114 - 127 it will be ok
