Running to rich

Ok all you techies..... Tried to get my car to smog (LMAO) As you can tell I failed horribly. The only suggestion the smog tech had for me after looking at the print out was that I am running WAY to Rich. This I shoulda known since after my mods I went from bout 150-160 miles to 90-120 miles. Everything I put on my car is 50 state smog legal IE... cobra intake and plenum, E303 cam, 70mm throttle body and gt40 heads. Here is my question how in the hell do you adjust the air/fuel ratio? Any help would be appreciated.

you could lower the fuel pressure, that would help a little

if everything is carb approved and you have cats on the car, you should have passed.

i would try buying new o2 sensors first, that was a fix for all 3 of my cars

yeah...

That e-cam's overlap is going to cause you to run a little rich there. I'd drop your fuel pressure and a definitely r & r your O2's, especially if they have decent mileage on them.
I realized that I would have to replace O2's at much sooner intervals due to my b303's overlap. It just likes to dump fuel at idle, but damn it's worth it.

If you have a 160 thermostat, it will cause you to run rich.

I think your problems could be solved with a fuel pressure regulater.

lower the pressure on stock injectors? and would it help my surge? its very annoying. Oh and yes i do have 160 stat car runs cool. Last but not least Im going in for a dyno this weekend can annyone give me a figure Im looking at $$$$ wise?

Ditch the 160 T-stat....Your car will make more power and run better with a 180 T-stat.

You are probably looking at 245-255 RWHP.

Your exhaust will be even cleaner if you run the OEM 192 t-stat. Either way, lower your fuel pressure, and get it as hot as you can, without boiling over, just prior to the test.

Take care,

What fuel pressure regulator do you recommend?? What is stock PSI and what should I put it at? Thanks for all the help and advice you guys have given me.
