Cam Bearing

Is there a special tool needed to remove the cam bearings?

I have the engine block bare and it has some surface rust at the top two inches of the bore, very fine. If I hone it smooth and measure it, how far can you go before having to bore it up a size? If I confused anybody let me know?

Yes there is a special tool for the bearings. When I did my engine I took everyone's advice and had the machine shop take care of the cam bearings. you should too. Unless you have expierence at it. You dont want to put all that money into an engine and have it go bad because the bearings were damaged or not in right.
